I would like to cancel the proposition because the newer approach seems
to me better than reinvention of the MPM.

How can I cancel it on Bugzilla?
Is it a correct operation to change the status to "RESOLVED"?

Yes, that would be appropriate. Choose a resolution like "invalid" or "wontfix", whichever you like.

Thanks,

S.
