As much as I hoped to synchronize a 2.2 tag to a 2.4 tag, promises of
some future 2.4 tag (in light of a meager 2 tags in 12 mos and less
than 1.5% adoption) don't give me enough sufficient faith to wait any
longer to refresh the version in common use today.

As promised several weeks ago, I will proceed to tag and roll a 2.2.25
candidate for your consideration, 12 hours from now.

The remaining low hanging fruit in STATUS is very low-hanging, and
most appear to have been well-reviewed even in advance of submission
to bugzilla. Thanks Graham, for shepherding a large number of these
patches. (In the future, attributions in STATUS and in all commit log
messages would be helpful to at least some of us, and respectful of
those authors.)

All that is missing from most proposals is a single vote, so feel free
to vote, promote and even apply over the next half-day so we can move
on to doing more interesting things.

TIA,

Bill
