+1 for release from me, builds and tests OK. I wonder if the embedded libapreq2 library version (APREQ_*_VERSION in library/apreq_versions.h) should be bumped from 2.8.1, it seems to be disconenected from the tarball release version, but this doesn't seem harmful.
