[The _The docs mailing list_ section of the _Documentation Project_ page](https://httpd.apache.org/docs-project/#ml) reads: > The discussion surrounding the documentation project happens on the [email protected] mailing list. To subscribe to this mailing list, send email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and follow the instructions in the response you receive. > > The archives of this mailing list may be found at [lists.apache.org](https://lists.apache.org/[email protected]) , if you want to have a preview of how we do things, and who the main characters are. At 2026-05-04T00:59:33, I sent an email titled “Confessions, excuses and [pretend] recruitment advice from a serial bugger”, which I did not see appear in the archives. Today, I sent a second email (embedded in [that mail](https://lists.apache.org/api/source.lua?id=p4tdl6b6gn3lc4dwrocoszflwhkcxl54)) to the list, which also didn't show. But this time, I got a failure notice right away which explained that mail to that list "Must be sent from an @apache.org address or a subscriber address or an address in LDAP." I was sending from my Gmail address, so the failure matches that policy. I find that policy acceptable, but it should be indicated in the list's presentation, in particular if failure notices are not delivered reliably (no, it did not go to my Spam folder).
