Dear Mentors, We have few questions related to current status of HUDI as recorded in Whimsy. For reference, the link I am referring to is : https://whimsy.apache.org/roster/ppmc/hudi - The above Whimsy link mentions that there is "NO Podling name search on file". We had conducted the name search and got approved : https://jira.apache.org/jira/browse/PODLINGNAMESEARCH-162 . Are there additional steps remaining on our part before the naming section in Whimsy is updated ? If not, can you help us update that section in whimsy. Apache Infrastructure ( https://jira.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-18820 ) had asked us to check with project mentors on this.
- I wanted to make sure if my understanding on the path towards IP Clearance is correct. There are few aspects here : - Software Grant : I think the software grant from Uber to Apache has been completed - Contributo CLA : This step is also completed. - License Conformance : We had one known issue with package dependencies : https://jira.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-461. We have resolved it now. All the package dependencies are conforming now (w.r.t https://apache.org/legal/resolved.html) - Once we rename "com.uber.hoodie" to "org.apache.hudi", finish documentation and get the release candidate, codebase IP Clearance can be filed using the commit which we used for the first release ( https://incubator.apache.org/ip-clearance/ip-clearance-template.html#form-filling. Let me know if my understanding is right. I just wanted to make sure if I am not missing any steps here. Thanks,Balaji.V
