Hello devs, As the release manager of the 1.0.0 release, I'm pleased to inform you that we're now ready to work towards the GA release. As you already know 1.0.0 will be a major release with multiple format changes [1] and it is being released gradually in phases. We have already done two beta releases and it's time to gear up for the GA release. Apart from the format changes, we are also upgrading JDK and Scala versions and deprecating certain Spark versions. I would like to invite you to test the RC and contribute in making it an awesome 1.0.0!
We're going to *freeze the master branch by 22nd Oct 11:59 PM PDT* to cut 1.0.0 RC. Here's the list of JIRAs closed for 1.0.0 release [2].
