Dear kapa.ai team,

On behalf of the Apache HugeGraph Project Management Committee (PMC), I
would like to apply for the Kapa Open Source Program and explore enabling
the “Ask AI” capability for the Apache HugeGraph documentation website.

*Project name and website URL*
Project: Apache HugeGraph
Website: https://hugegraph.apache.org/

*Brief description of the project and its impact*
Apache HugeGraph is an Apache Software Foundation project and a full-stack
graph database ecosystem for real-time graph queries, large-scale graph
analytics, and AI applications. The project provides graph database, graph
computing, graph tooling, and graph AI capabilities, including components
such as HugeGraph Server, Store/PD, Toolchain, Computer, and AI
integrations.

HugeGraph helps developers build and operate graph-based applications,
including knowledge graphs, GraphRAG, graph analytics, and large-scale
graph storage/query systems. Our documentation serves a broad developer
community and includes guides for graph database usage, deployment,
configuration, client SDKs, data loading, graph computing, and AI-related
workflows. We believe an AI-powered documentation assistant would
significantly improve the onboarding and support experience for both new
users and contributors.

Documentation website repository:

Related ecosystem repositories include:

*Planned deployment*
Our initial plan is to deploy kapa.ai as an “Ask AI” documentation widget
on the Apache HugeGraph documentation website, especially under:
https://hugegraph.apache.org/docs/

The main goal is to help users quickly find accurate answers from HugeGraph
documentation, including quick start guides, configuration references, API
usage, client SDKs, graph computing, and AI/GraphRAG-related documentation.

Depending on the initial results and community feedback, we may also
consider extending the integration to community support channels such as
ASF Slack or other community discussion channels, following Apache
community and infrastructure guidelines.

*Open source eligibility*
Apache HugeGraph is a non-commercial open source project under the Apache
Software Foundation. The project and its documentation are publicly
available, and the code is licensed under the Apache License 2.0.

We would be grateful if you could review our application for the Kapa Open
Source Program. Please let us know if you need any additional information
from the Apache HugeGraph PMC.

Best regards,

VGalaxies
On behalf of the Apache HugeGraph PMC
