As discussed in the community sync, we are planning for the next 1.10.0 release. I will serve as the release manager after chatting with Russel (the original RM volunteer).
The adoption of V3 spec changes <https://github.com/apache/iceberg/blob/main/format/spec.md#version-3-extended-types-and-capabilities> has been just approved. One of the main goals for this release is to complete the reference implementation for most V3 features. There are also other important changes ready. * Spark 4.0 support * Flink 2.0 support The target date for this release is the end of June. There is already an "Iceberg 1.10.0" milestone.
