Thanks for the questions about Vortex at the last community sync and for the comments on the current proposal draft. Based on everyone's input, we've added a high-level overview of Vortex at the beginning of the document to address questions about both Vortex and the project's community policies. I'm starting a discussion on the mailing list before this week's sync to make sure we answer everyone's questions about the draft. I think it would also be helpful to establish the following before moving forward with the proposal: 1. Whether Part 1 (adding a file format to Iceberg in general) matches everyone's expectations. 2. Whether there are any remaining concerns about how Vortex meets the Part 1 guidelines and requirements. As always, a huge thanks to everyone who's helped support this proposal! Best, Martin
