Sometimes Ubuntu with requested and dependency packages recommends additional 
packages (which is controlled by corresponding directive in package).
This option --no-install-recommends makes sure that these packages will be 
skipped and overall installation will be more compact and precise.

There is no such option for YUM (as far as I am aware of).
