So ... nice site, but it's missing a few important bits, and there are a
few bits too many:
* There is no entity called "Apache Ignite" that could hold copyright
to the site. The only entity involved is the ASF. The copyright
notice should be changed. It's also nice, though by no means
required, to include the ASF logo somewhere on the site.
* ASF trademark references are missing. See, for example, the
copyright notice on the bottom of the left column of
http://subversion.apache.org/
* There are links to GridGain's twitter, LinkedIn and G+ pages. No
way. This is not a GirdGain project; it is an ASF project, and the
ASF is not in the business of providing advertising space for
commercial entities.
* The same goes for the download links. Sources must be hosted on ASF
infrastructure (and mirrors), even if they're unofficial sources. I
understand this will take a bit of work, but even an URL for
anonymous Git clone from the ASF servers is better than a link to
some commercial site.
o To clarify: what's currently in ASF Git is obviously not ready
to be used; and what's on GG's download area may be; but see
above about the ASF not being an advertising service.
* "We embrase open source" ... apart from the typo, there's really no
reason to write something like that on an ASF project web site. :)
Sounds like marketspeak again ...
TL;DR: GridGain marketing has no place on an ASF web site. OTOH it's
fine to list GG as providing additional services on top of Ignite; for
example, see:
https://subversion.apache.org/packages.html
which lists a number of commercial providers.
While there's no need change everything immediately, the important
points I made above can and should be done quickly (I could do them
myself, but I'd rather the PPMC takes care of it than a mentor). Please
note that these are all hard requirements for graduation, so the site
will have to be aligned with ASF policy eventually; the sooner, the better.
