Hi Dave,

the short answer is that significant development work would be needed for
Impala to run on Windows.
If that could be achieved it would be useful in that it would add a new
platform for developers.

At the moment Impala assumes that it is running on some sort of linuxy
system.
Just as one example it assumes it can look at /proc which does not exist on
Windows.
There must be many many other places where assumptions are made.

Is this a project you are interested in doing?
