IMPALA-3419: DefaultFS value should be extracted from hive.metastore.warehouse.dir if fully qualified The defaultFS value in core-site.xml is ignored if the hive.metastore.warehouse.dir is fully qualified in hive-site.xml. Impala will not know about this and this could cause problems when dealing with unqualified paths. This patch adds a special case in getHadoopConfig() to return the correct FS accordingly.
