I am seeing an error like the one below with my 2.7.0 release testing. I looked in the issue tracker to see if I could find a fix I could cherry pick, but I don't see one.
The branch I am testing is here: https://git1-us-west.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-impala/repo?p=incubator-impala.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/branch-2.7.0 I haven't looked at the core dumps yet; I wanted to check if anyone has seen this first. The error is this: TestQueries.test_hdfs_scan_node[exec_option: {'disable_codegen': True, 'abort_on_error': 1, 'exec_single_node_rows_threshold': 0, 'batch_size': 0, 'num_nodes': 0} | table_format: rc/gzip/block] [gw0] linux2 -- Python 2.6.6 /data/jenkins/workspace/impala-private-build-and-test/repos/Impala/bin/../infra/python/env/bin/python query_test/test_queries.py:53: in test_hdfs_scan_node self.run_test_case('QueryTest/hdfs-scan-node', vector) common/impala_test_suite.py:306: in run_test_case result = self.__execute_query(target_impalad_client, query, user=user) common/impala_test_suite.py:499: in __execute_query return impalad_client.execute(query, user=user) common/impala_connection.py:160: in execute return self.__beeswax_client.execute(sql_stmt, user=user) beeswax/impala_beeswax.py:173: in execute handle = self.__execute_query(query_string.strip(), user=user) beeswax/impala_beeswax.py:337: in __execute_query handle = self.execute_query_async(query_string, user=user) beeswax/impala_beeswax.py:333: in execute_query_async return self.__do_rpc(lambda: self.imp_service.query(query,)) beeswax/impala_beeswax.py:458: in __do_rpc raise ImpalaBeeswaxException(self.__build_error_message(b), b) E ImpalaBeeswaxException: ImpalaBeeswaxException: E INNER EXCEPTION: <class 'impala._thrift_gen.beeswax.ttypes.BeeswaxException'> E MESSAGE: ExecPlanRequest rpc query_id=764bc1b5b1ecc6af:cf85407e4d08d79a instance_id=764bc1b5b1ecc6af:cf85407e4d08d79c failed: RPC client failed to connect: Couldn't open transport for $JBAPPLE_MACHINE_NAME:22002 (connect() failed: Connection refused)
