Hi Laurent,

Due to native installer packaging, is response file method still available
No. Response files were a feature of our old installer.
Actually testing 1.9.100 under windows, is there a way to use response files ? Is the syntax the same as OOo 1.x ? will my 'old' simple response files still work ?
No, no and no. See above.
The native installation system of your platform probably has built-in mechanisms to automate and customize installations.
For Linux/Unix platforms you get a set of separate packages and can choose the subset to install when invoking the package manager. The package managers also have built-in mechanisms to provide the target location for installation, which is supported by our packages. (The SysV package manager also has a sort of builtin response file mechanism, but this is not used by OOo.)
I am sure that MSI, the Windows Installer, also has mechanisms to automate or customize installation, but I am not really familiar with them. You can probably find more information on the Microsoft site.
Is there any documentation dedicated to OOo 2 automatic installation ?
I am not aware of any.
