I have to provide a user in my organization a copy of
OO. As he travels, he needs OO to be in a USB thumb
drive. He may use his copy of OO anywhere (even in a
computer with OO installed).

I install OO to my local computer. I select NOT to
install quickstart.exe. I find out there is
quickstart.exe in <OO>\program. I delete it. I copy
the whole folder to the USB drive.

I remove OO from my computer. I test OO in USB drive.
Quickstart does not launch. Looks good. I check
Tools->Options->OpenOffice->Load Quickstart during
system start-up is grayed out.

I close OO. I add QuickStarterInstalled (with value
of 1) in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OpenOffice.org.
I start OO and somehow there is Quickstart at the
system tray! Hum... I check the Tools->Options...
and the Load Quickstart option is NOT grayed out.

   -=-=-=-=-=--=-

Then I do something to the source code.
1) Comment out File_gid_File_Exe_Quickstart section in
file_ooo.scp within .\scp2\source\ooo

2) Comment out line containing gid_File_Exe_Quickstart
in Module gid_Module_Root_Files_2 within
.\scp2\source\ooo.

Recompile scp2 module. Recompile instsetoo module.
Install the hard drive. Select NOT to install
Quickstart. After install, there is no
quickstart.exe. Remove everying in USB. Copy the new
OO to USB.

I keep the registry entry QuickStarterInstalled. I
run OO in the USB. There is no quickstart in the
system tray. BUT... Under
Tools->Options->OpenOffice->Load Quickstart during
system start-up is NOT grayed out.

If that is NOT grayed out, my user could check that
box. Next time user starts OO, there would be
quickstart at the system tray! I do not want that to
happen.

Question:
1) How to stop quickstart from loading no matter what?
2) How to stop OO from checking the registry entry
QuickStarterInstalled?
3) How to gray out the "Load Quickstart during system
start-up" check box?
