If you take a look at [Fey
Configuration|https://github.com/apache/incubator-iota/tree/master/fey-core#fey-configuration]
There is one parameter that is responsible for the rename of the files:
*enable-checkpoint*. The default is *true*. When it is true Fey will checkpoint
all the JSON files, so when you restarted your application, it can process
first all checkpointed JSONs. If it is false, no checkpoint will be created and
no ".processed" will be added to the JSON.
