Just noticed I only replied to trevor and not to the list.

Guess the general opion is not in favor of "ext", but just for the sake

Just some feedback on this ... my first thought when I would see this, 
would be "EXTernal value" ususally "EXT" is used for external stuff. I 
wouldn't suggest to use that. So I would be in favor of the long 
"extreme" variant.
