Hello IoTDB Community,

My name is Nisa, and I am a 3rd-year Software Engineering student. I am
writing to you because I am very excited about the GSoC 2026 project:
"Flink connector for IoTDB 2.X Table Mode".

To be honest, I am still a student and I am just starting my journey into
large-scale open-source projects. While I have a fundamental understanding
of Java and Database Management (DBMS) from my university courses, I know I
have a lot to learn.

As a first step, I wanted to see if I could handle the technical
environment. I have successfully cloned and built the IoTDB project on my
local Windows machine. Seeing that "BUILD SUCCESS" message gave me the
courage to reach out to you!

I am very eager to learn from this community and contribute as much as I
can. Since I am new to Flink and IoTDB's Table Mode, could you please guide
me on where to start? Are there any simple tasks or specific documentation
that a student like me could study to prepare a better proposal?

Thank you for your time and attention.

Best regards,

Nisa AKLAN
