I checked the following items for RC2:
[OK] Downloaded all files listed in the RC2 staging directory (15 release
packages plus supporting files).
[OK] Verified the PGP signatures of all 15 release packages.
[OK] Verified the SHA-512 checksums of all 15 release packages.
[OK] Checked ZIP integrity for all 15 packages and extracted the signed
source and all-bin distributions.
[OK] Verified the presence of LICENSE and NOTICE in all 15 packages, and
README.md and RELEASE_NOTES.md in the source and all-bin packages.
[OK] Searched all 54 source POMs; no active SNAPSHOT dependency versions
were found.
[OK] Verified that release tag v2.0.11 resolves to
7c0de0654c603b5e8356190e2c3df69194993432.
[OK] Built the signed source package as provided, without modifications, on
macOS with JDK 21:
mvn -B -ntp clean package -pl distribution -am -DskipTests
Build succeeded in 2 min 38 sec. Unit tests were skipped.
[OK] Apache RAT check passed:
mvn -B -ntp apache-rat:check
[OK] Started ConfigNode and DataNode on macOS with JDK 21, using both the
source-built and staged all-bin distributions.
[OK] Ran SHOW VERSION in the CLI; both distributions reported version
2.0.11.
[OK] Tree and Table read/write smoke tests passed using the distribution
built
from the signed source package. Both returned the expected three rows
and counts, which remained correct after a clean restart.
[OK] The same smoke and restart checks passed with the staged all-bin
package.
Test environment:
- macOS 26.6.2 / Darwin 25.6.0, arm64
- Microsoft OpenJDK 21.0.12.1
- Apache Maven 3.9.16
