Specifically:
- ObjectPersistedEvent   // postCreate in JDO terminology
- ObjectUpdatingEvent   // preStore in JDO terminology
- ObjectUpdatedEvent    // postStore in JDO terminology
- ObjectRemovingEvent   // preDelete in JDO terms

This would be a more flexible solution for many use cases than implementing 
updating() etc.... can centralize logic.
