Hi, There's a nice open source directory site at http://www.ohloh.net/. It automatically collects all sorts of statistics and makes them available in a nice format. See the Jackrabbit entry at http://www.ohloh.net/projects/3527.
Among the more useful statistics (e.g. Jackrabbit trunk is > 200 kLOC, growing steadily) there's also a flashy Project Cost calculator that is probably there more to generate incoming links than to provide any real information. In any case, it suggests (I guess the calculator assumes some average programmers) that the current Jackrabbit codebase is worth about 60 person years of effort or about 3 million dollars of money. Something to keep in mind for the next time someone asks you how much Jackrabbit is worth. :-) BR, Jukka Zitting
