I'm evaluating our content management/web publishing system for a
possible move to a jcr/jackrabbit-based backend.
Lock timeout seems to be out of scope for the JCR specs, but our
solution is based around webdav and stateless browser editing, so
timeout on locks is a rather important feature. I see JCR-779 [1] was
abandoned after some initial discussion in March. Has there been any
work in this direction since then?
Alternatively, is there anyone who have implemented this kind of
feature at the application level, and could shed some light on
possible implementations?
