checked signatures and checksums, build worked fine with maven, all tests
succeeded.
upgrading jackrabbit-webapp-1.4.war with jackrabbit-core-1.4.2.jar worked fine
as well.
there's a minor typo in the release notes, on line 33 it should say:
$ cd jackrabbit-core-1.4.2
