I understand your argument about the flexibility that the spec gives an
implementation, but how useful is an implementation with a behavior that is not
predictable? Executing a series of methods should always result in the same
state. The way Jackrabbit handled this case is IMO not acceptable. I'm OK with
reverting my changes but only if we find a better solution.
