Jackrabbit 2.0 (and the JSR > 283 reference implementation) will probably be released later next year.
I would add that we opened up the Jackrabbit Sandbox for all Apache committers and that this was triggered by the recent interest (and development start) of an implementation of the upcoming CMIS standard backed by JCR. Regards, Alex -- Alexander Klimetschek [email protected]
