I think this is caused by my recent changes (JCR-2048) to the test repository.xml. a workspace is now shutdown after an idle period of 2 seconds. the failed test does not acquire a session, which means the underlying persistence manager that is tested may get closed by the workspace janitor. I'll fix it.
