Therefore, I agree with this proposal, all the more, that hopefully, setting up a dav based communications channel supporting the complete API (this would be a requirement for me for dropping RMI !) is as easy and straightforward.
+1To give some feedback from a JCR-RMI users / tooling providers point of view: It's important for me to be able to use the complete API. Even more important than having something that is easy to use.
