proposed patch for DefaultWorkspaceFilter with the following modifications:
- testing if the desired target node exists (instead of catching exception)
- if it doesn't exists test if the root node exists (instead of just accessing
it)
- if neither node exists (or is accessible) throw new PathNotFoundException
