Fix Version/s: 3.1.32
fixed in r1767213
- added helper methods for extracting exploded packages
- converted some of the packages
- adjusted some of the tests
Note: using the archive directly only allows to extraction tests. those that
test installation (subpackages, dependencies) still need the zips.
