[~tripod] IMHO the description for "empty elements" in
https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit-filevault/commit/fed689102dbb2fb50eeb60ef946331bdbd03c303
is not clear enough. It doesn't explicitly state that empty nodes are left
untouched during the import (independent of the merge mode). That is crucial to
know in this context.
