---------------------------------------
FWIW: http://jackrabbit.apache.org/jcr/jackrabbit-roadmap.html - 2.14 will be
EOLd in 12 months from now anyway.

> Project: Jackrabbit FileVault
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Affects Versions: 3.4.10

> Priority: Major
>
> Currently the most recent FileVault is still compatible with Jackrabbit API
> 2.14. To be able to leverage API introduced with 2.16 (e.g.
> we should drop support of Jackrabbit API 2.14 and at the same time allow
> Declarative Service 1.4 (introduced in OSGi R7, supporting constructor
> injection). Also the minimum target OSGi environment below
> [https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit-filevault/tree/master/target-osgi-environment]
> should be updated accordingly to reflect AEM 6.4
