Konrad Windszus commented on JCRVLT-851:
----------------------------------------

The logging introduced in JCRVLT-591 should both give some pointers where the
package was forgot to be closed and also close it
([https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit-filevault/blob/8e4e1996f8f34f8306f082042dfd45904f02c46a/vault-core/src/main/java/org/apache/jackrabbit/vault/fs/io/AbstractArchive.java#L74).]
I am wondering why that didn't kick in here.

> JcrPackageImpl.getPackage() creates a tempfile (which is then wrapped inside
> a ZipVaultPackage); if that package is not properly closed, it can leave
> tempfiles behind.
> We should ensure that any unclosed tempfile is properly removed at latest
> when the JVM terminates.
