I think we shouldn't be shy with releases. If we have a coherent (ie.
working and 1.0.x-compatible) codebase, even if it is shy of some
features, then we should consider a 1.1.0 release based on Mauro's new
stuff.
If we then add considerable new stuff (say the rest of the story
generation) it becomes 1.2. If we're just tweaking Mauro's changes, it's
1.1.x.
Release early, release often, get good at releasing!*

* It took Liz and me several hours to put out the 1.0 release - I want
to get a /lot/ better at it than that. Although to be fair a lot of the
work was one time only.
