We've also seen this, but on Linux. We found doing something like:
export MAVEN_OPTS="-Xss2048k"
helped a lot. (We use maven btw). I mention this because the web page
doesn't and I was unsure as to how to get that page changed. Upping the
stack size made the problem go away for all of our tests.
