The absolute best way to discuss code like this is in a pull request. I *strongly* encourage you to submit a pull request with some skeleton code sooner than later so we can work out issues like this. For example, take a look at this PR [1] that Jeremy did to start the support for Heat. He only implemented one API call in ResourceApi.java and it was still a big PR. Please follow a similar pattern and make your first PR only implement 1 or 2 API calls from Ceilometer. The whole contribution process will go much more smoothly if we start with that as our base. We’ll also be able to discuss code like you have below in context.
