The value I see in something like this is being able to ask questions of
multiple people simultaneously and coordinate/expedite decisions.
For example:
- releases: what, when, how
- specific decisions (such as the recent wiki change)
- priorities (ie are more people interested in blobstore test fixes rather than
the compute test fixes)

How do we decide as a community if something like irc meetings would be useful?
Maybe we should have an IRC meeting about it :)
I know some big communities do it, but I would really like to hear some more
feedback from people before we try it!

(Also thanks Andrew for offering to help)

If we decide to do this, I'm happy to figure out how to make this
happen, and to find out what kind of "housekeeping" in terms of taking
notes etc. would be needed.

Before we consider this, though: could you give some more details on
how you think this might help? Specifically, what this would help
achieve that we're not handling well now.

I'm mainly asking because, with the timezone differences across the
community as they are, I don't expect this to be particularly easy to
arrange.
