Does anyone mind if I remove some of the pre-1.8.x branches from the ASF repositories, e.g.,
Unless there's some clear performance penalty I'd rather keep them, to be honest. If the consensus is to remove some, I'd probably vote to keep at least 1.5.x and newer for now.
