Thanks for pointing these out. You've caught us in the middle of a
transition process, and there is indeed a bunch of information that is
currently being/still needs to be updated.
(Aside note: would be great if there is
an example how to move away from Async interface, but still retain the
semantics)
As regards this point, have a look at these examples [1, 2],
especially the "before" and "after" versions [3].
