All,

I have created a new issue (JENA-420 [1]) that I thought would make an
excellent project for the Google Summer of Code initiative [2]. If we
get a student who is interested, great. If not, then at least we have
a JIRA issue for work in this area. I will volunteer to be the
mentor, but would obviously also appreciate help from everyone!

Please feel free to add your thoughts to the JIRA as well!

Also, I meant to add that if you have any other ideas for GSoC, add
them too and label them with "gsoc2013" so they show up here [3].
Ulrich mentioned he was going to submit them this weekend. So get
cracking if you have an idea.

Here also is the timeline and more info for GSOC 2013:

JENA-420 is a great idea, for GSOC and/or outside that. Looks to me like several projects! which is good because the skill set needed for the whole thing spans is quite large.

I'm willing to contribute some time, mentoring or just answering questions to help anyone get to grips with the codebase.

Does any know and have experience of (JSON|HTML)-JMX frameworks?

http://www.jolokia.org/ looks interesting (not used it).
