Hi,

Hi Reshmi,

I am one among the 50 Student Candidate who participated in Pilot Mentoring
Programme with India ICFOSS under Mr.Luciano
Resende<https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?name=luciano%20resende>(21
st to 23 rd Jun 2013).I am interested in learning more about Open
Source and would like to contribute my work to mahout.

This isn't the Mahout project. Hopefully you mean that you want to contribute
to jena.

I would like to work in Project :
Web-based User Interface for Jena
Fuseki<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JENA-420>
Can any mentor support me by being my mentor. So that I can proceed .

As you probably know you've missed google summmer of code, but there's
certainly interest in adding this feature from the jena community, include
project members. We ought to be able to manage something informally at least
('informal' in the sense that we won't be using the google framework).

What I suggest you do is:

* Work out a project plan. Be realistic given the time you have! Provide units
of work, goals, and a timeline, so we have an idea where you are.
* Post it on this list for discussion.
* If it sounds feasible we'll try to organise some kind of help from our end.
Stephen suggested this feature, but other committers have also expressed an
interest.

The main thing is communication. You can ask us things here, of course, and
also directly.on irc (#jena on irc.freenode.net).

Bear in mind that people may be on holiday over this period.

Damian
