I'm not clear what performance improvement this would make. The expression is
still calculated the same number of times. If it's the cost of the new
binding, then maybe look at the cost of creatign these extension bindigns
because they are quite common. `Binding1` should be quite cheap.
Some of the difficulties seems to come from (extend) of multiple parts - these
could be separated so all (extends) are one assignment and the different parts
can be maniplutaed separately.
