Because JSON-LD is the most popular RDF format for current usages of
Linked Data (e.g. is heavily used by W3C LDP and W3C Web Annotation)
and I don't think we should regress on its support.

Perhaps the smaller workaround with setting the httpClient in JSON-LDs
JsonUtils will do? We can set it to our own 4.2.6 caching httpclient.
I can have a quick go - even if this means loosing my beloved jar
cache for 3.1.0 ..
