Osma Suominen commented on JENA-1250: ------------------------------------- Excellent! So remaining work: - fix Analyzers to work with Lucene 6.2, so we can upgrade to 6.2.1. I can try to do this but not right now. - test jena-spatial with Lucene/Solr 6.2.1 - I think the VER field and all related code can be dropped, as Lucene methods no longer need Version arguments - further cleanup of comments etc. left behind by the update - possibly refactor the field name generation in TextQueryPF/TextIndexLucene As discussed on the dev list, this is unlikely to go into the imminent Jena 3.1.1 release, so no real hurry. What is the "project to add a simple completion feature" that was mentioned as the original reason for the upgrade? Any pointers? > Upgrade text search to latest Lucene > ------------------------------------ > > Key: JENA-1250 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JENA-1250 > Project: Apache Jena > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Spatial, Text > Reporter: Jean-Marc Vanel > > We are currently at Lucene 4.9.1 , > which is quite outdated compared to latest Lucene, which is 6.2.1 . > Note that there is project to add a simple completion feature in addition to > existing simple search. > But it would be better to do that on an updated Lucene dependency . -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
