I appreciate your initiative, but given that the student application period
doesn't even open until March 20th,

rush. I assume that you are subscribed to [email protected] (if not you can
do that right away) and we can begin with you sending a message to dev@jena to
introduce yourself, describe your experience with SPARQL and Java, and explain
why you want to take on this project.
