It does look a bit non-trivial to swap :-(
The hard places seem to be all about that fact {{xsd:Duration}} has two
subtypes {{xsd:yearMonthDuration}} and {{xsd:dayTimeDuration}} which you can do
arithmetic on. I don't see how to tell a {{java.time.Duration}} is one of
those. It is one of the reason for looking at the duration components in the
Jena code.
It also matter in the F&O functions like {{fn:years-from-duration}}.
