Felix, I'm using:
java version "1.8.0_121"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_121-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.121-b13, mixed mode)
with Linux Mint 18
and the Cinnamon v3.0.7 desktop.
Have you tried switching laf? I find it works best with the
CrossPlatfrom laf. And not at all with gtk+.

It's not an especially common set-up, so feel free to ignore it.
I just thought it worth noting that it doesn't behave the same, which might
point to a deeper issue?
Thanks

I've also added a screenshot after zooming in (many times to make the
changes obvious) on Linux mint.
It doesn't seem to work quite as well as the others.
What version of java did you use? Which plaf and which desktop environment?
It seemed to work on Ubuntu with gnome and the current Oracle jdk.

Hi Felix,
I've attached screenshot to bugzilla for Windows 7 Pro and MacOSX
ElCapitan, they look rather ok.
But meanwhile I tested on Windows 10 Surface pro and on this device
the
Left Tree sizing does not change, the font increase but text overlaps
between nodes.
I don't understand why display is so different on Windows.

Hi Felix,
Could you show some screenshots ? On which OS did you test and
what LAF
did
you use ?
I tried in on ubuntu 16.04 with the metal theme (default). I have
attached a screenshot. Let's hope, that it doesn't get stripped.
Got stripped, so I attached the screenshot to bug 59995.

I used it on a Windows 8 where JMeter fonts were really too tiny
and it
improved usability for me.
I also tested it on Mac OSX , it's not as good as real HiDPI but
at
least
it look a bit better.
Have you tried with a JSyntaxArea?

Felix
Ok for the mouse wheel.

Hi all,
I tried the new zoom functionality and it looks a bit flaky to
me. It
doesn't change all font sizes and seems to work especially
"good" on
labels
and key-combo hints in the menu.
I am not sure, how useful this feature is in the current state.
On the other hand, if we include the feature, I think it would
be nice
to
register a mousewheel listener and linking ctrl+mousewheel
up/down to
zoom-in/-out.
