The error appears to be due to a problem resolving the hostname
jmeter.apache.org.
I think the problem has to do with the configuration of the local ip
address of the buildbots. We have similar problems building on travis ci.
What is the current network setting for the build bots?
Is there any way to trigger a nightly job on build bot by hand?
Ok, found a way to trigger the build via irc, but it is now failing in
the "uploading rat-output.html" step.

If that is the case, then JMeter code is not at fault.
However it might be necessary to add some more info to the error to be
sure of the exact problem.
(I’m making some changes to the Rat builds in Buildbot and came
across your build error while testing)
