I don't like the existing Git mirror since it contains two offenders: 1) jar files. JMeter history included ant.jar, dependencies, etc at various locations. 2) generated *.html files 3) Tags (e.g. version tags) are located at separate branches which complicates history browsing I think it is worth trying to fix those.
