I still think it is a Java/Windows bug, as I never experienced it under Linux and there are no exceptions in the log or output. Having searched the net for Windows 11 Pro, Java and GUI issues I found one link, where setting the JVM flag `-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false` seemed to help.
